Groundbreaking to be Held This Evening on New Thyen-Clark Cultural Center in Jasper

JASPER -- A groundbreaking will be held today for the new Thyen-Clark Cultural Center in Jasper.

The groundbreaking will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the site of the future facility:  100 3rd Avenue in Jasper.  The public is being invited to attend.

The cultural center will house Jasper Community Arts and the Jasper Public Library.  The work is expected to be done by next year.

Jasper Community Arts Director Kyle Rupert has said the building will be a cultural hub for the area.

The project has a price tag of around $17 million dollars.
