STATEHOUSE -- Some area counties have joined together to raise millions of dollars in donations for a joint COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund, governor Eric Holcomb said Tuesday afternoon during his daily press briefing.

Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, Gibson and Posey County officials have accepted over $2.2 million in donations to the fund since the initiative began.

The governor says the money raised will go to the "front lines" of this pandemic, to the organizations offering relief to citizens disenfranchised by the COVID-19 pandemic.
