Friday Tornado Confirmed in Dubois County

Dubois Co.- Friday’s storms produced an EF-1 tornado, according to the National Weather Service. 

Enhanced Fujita 1, or EF-1, tornadoes are classified as having wind speeds between 86 and 110 miles per hour(mph). The National Weather Service in Louisville, Kentucky has confirmed the tornado that came through Dubois County on Friday did reach wind speeds of 86 mph. 

Director of the Dubois County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Tammy Humbert says the tornado caused damage west of Huntingburg before moving northeast towards the Grassland Hills area.
