JASPER -- Freedom Bank is closing its lobby doors until further notice on Monday.

According to a statement released by bank officials Friday, the move is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect employees and customers.

For banking that requires an in-person visit, contact Freedom Bank to set up an appointment.  Drive-thru and online services are still available as normal, however, you’re asked not to use the drive-thru if you have symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough or shortness of breath.

Other area banks including German American and Old National have also closed their lobbies.  They’ll see customers by appointment only.  Drive-thru services are not impacted.
