First Hoosier HEP A Fatality Reported

STATEWIDE -- People are getting sick--and some are dying in other states. And now the Hepatitis-A outbreak has claimed a life in Indiana.

The state health department is saying nothing more about that patient because of privacy laws. Hep-A is a highly contagious disease of the liver.

This outbreak has caused multiple fatalities nationwide.

State Health Commissioner Kris Box urges you to protect yourself by keeping your hands washed--and getting vaccinated, especially if you're in a high risk category.
