From Local Sources

FERDINAND -- Ferdinand Police arrested a Louisville man overnight after multiple interactions with him.

Police say 41-year-old Kevin Funk got his van stuck in a ditch on South Industrial Road around 9:15 p.m.

He told police he wasn’t paying attention and drove down into the ditch.  Officers discovered the plates were revoked and he had no insurance.  He was ticketed and the van was towed.

Then, around 10:35 p.m., police made contact with Funk again.  This time at the Circle A.  Police say he asked the clerk for cigarettes and, when he got the pack, he ran off.

Police located him in the parking lot and he was arrested on one count of Criminal Conversion.

He was taken to the Dubois County security center.
