Ferdinand Park Board Votes to Close Lake Until Mile-Long Trail Project is Complete

From the Town of Ferdinand

FERDINAND -- Work has now started on the Old Town Lake trail project, and to eliminate safety and security concerns, the Ferdinand Park Board voted to officially close access to the lake until the one-mile long trail is officially completed.

Contractors have moved equipment onto the property and to reduce, if not eliminate, potential hazards, non-essential personnel are prohibited from entering the lake property.

Access to Old Town Lake is now restricted with a “road closed” barricade just off of 14th Street entrance.  This property closure will remain in effect until further notice.  A re-opening notification will be posted once the project is fully completed and access is permitted.
