Dubois Man Rescued From High Water on CR 300 N. Monday Morning

DUBOIS COUNTY -- A Dubois man had to be rescued from high water Monday morning on County Road 300 North, East of Kellerville Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies say the man's vision was hindered when he went through standing water, splashing it up onto his windshield.  That caused the driver to go off of the road slightly and into minor flood water from the Patoka River.

His truck stalled out and he had to call 911 for help.  Deputies responded, along with the Dubois Fire Department to get the driver to safety.

This happened just before 5:30 a.m. so overnight flooding had not yet been reported to the Street Department so there were no signs warning of the high water.

The driver is ok.
