Dubois County Sheriff Says Deputies Will Not Enforce Mask Mandate

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

JASPER -- Dubois County Sheriff Tom Kleinhelter says don't call his department to report mask mandate violators. His deputies won't be enforcing the requirements.

In a statement on social media, Kleinhelter said law enforcement will respond to any disturbances that occur.

The sheriff reminded residents that local businesses have the right to deny service to anyone not wearing a mask. If you don't leave when asked, you could be charged with trespassing.

Other county law enforcement agencies have released very similar statements regarding the mask mandate over the past few days.
