Dubois County Sees Dozens of New COVID Cases Over the Weekend

JASPER -- Officials are reporting another spike in Dubois County COVID-19 cases over the weekend.

County officials no longer release numbers on days the agency is closed but the state is reporting Dubois County now has a total of 426 cases.  That number was 388 on Friday.

Seven county residents have died from COVID-19 over the course of the pandemic.

New numbers will be released later this morning.

On the state level, Indiana reported 927 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday and two new deaths.  Just over 56,500 Hoosiers have tested positive since the pandemic began.  Over 2,600 Hoosiers have died.

Nearly 40% of the state’s ICU beds and 82% of its ventilators are currently available.  COVID patients are only occupying 10% of the state’s ICU beds.  Only 2.8% of the patients on ventilators have the virus.
