Dubois County Republicans Make Changes to Leadership

Dubois County- The Dubois County Republican Party is announcing mid-term changes in its party leadership.

County Republican Chair, Kitty Merkley, recently announced her resignation and was replaced by Vice-Chair Bob Duncan by a majority vote at a County Committee caucus on Saturday, November 12. Operating under the authority of state party rules and state code, Duncan named Amy Kippenbrock as Vice-Chair.

Duncan, born and raised in Huntingburg and residing in the Ferdinand area, served as Vice-Chair since 2021. He is a retired Lt. Colonel from the U.S. Air Force where he was a combat fighter and bomber pilot serving in three conflicts on more than 75 combat missions aboard the A-10 and B-2 Stealth. He then served as a UPS Airlines pilot.

Kippenbrock has served as Clerk of the Dubois County Circuit Court since 2019 and was unopposed for re-election to that office last week. She lives in Jasper and is a 2022 graduate of the prestigious Lugar Series, a leadership program for outstanding Hoosier women who are committed to bettering their communities and advancing the GOP agenda.

Duncan and Kippenbrock are joined on the Dubois County Republican leadership team by Secretary Deena Lewis of Jasper and Treasurer Sonya Haas of St. Anthony. All officers will serve until 2025.
