Dubois County Reports One COVID-19 Death, 20 Cases in Friday Update

Dubois Co. - In Friday's update from the Indiana Department of Health, Dubois County reported one COVID-19 death, along with 20 new cases.


The death, reportedly occurring on December 1st, is the first death attributed to COVID-19 since Dubois reported two deaths on November 17th. Over the course of the pandemic, the county has seen 140 deaths overall.

The single-day total of 20 additional cases marks the fourth straight day that the county has seen 20 or more cases. In the past four updates, Dubois County has totaled 125 new positive tests. During the pandemic, the county has tallied 8,835 cases. Dubois County is currently one of 67 counties statewide under an Orange Advisory.

Statewide, Indiana recorded 5,659 new COVID-19 cases and 57 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Indiana has recorded 5,600 cases or more in each of the past three days.
