Dubois County Reports a New COVID Case, Other Counties Seeing Increase in Positive Patients

JASPER -- Another case of COVID-19 was reported Thursday in Dubois County.

It brings our county’s total to 261.

Of those cases, 6 have died, 239 others have recovered.

Four new cases of COVID-19 were announced Thursday in Perry County.  This brings that county’s total to 129.

One of the positive cases is a resident at Oakwood Health Campus.

A total of 9 people have died in Perry County so far from the virus.

There are only two local counties with no COVID deaths.  They are Martin and Crawford.

On the state level, 13 new deaths were reported Thursday and 453 new positive cases. Over 46,300 Hoosiers have tested positive. The death toll stands at 2,469.

193 other cases have been ruled probable COVID-19 deaths.

40% of the state’s ICU beds and 82% of ventilators are currently available.
