Dubois County Records 27 COVID Cases, Returns to Yellow Advisory, as Counties Statewide Raised Levels

Dubois Co. - In Wednesday's update from the Indiana Department of Health Dubois County recorded 27 new positive COVID-19 cases and saw the advisory level lowered.


Dubois County reported 27 new cases on Wednesday, seeing back-to-back days of 27-plus cases. Dubois had reported just 22 total cases from Friday to Sunday. Over the course of the pandemic, the county has seen 8,673 total cases.

The county did not record any new deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Wednesday's update; 138 have been recorded over the course of the pandemic.

Dubois County's advisory level was lowered from Orange to Yellow in Wednesday's weekly update to the advisory map, bucking the statewide trend entering the holiday season. Currently 11 counties are under Red Advisories, up from six last week. 73 are now under Orange, eight are Yellow, none are under the blue (lowest) advisory.

Statewide, 4,070 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Indiana reported 17 new deaths.

According to the IDH website:  In observance of Thanksgiving, the dashboard will not update Thursday 11/25 through Sunday 11/28. Normal updates will resume on Monday, 11/29.
