Dubois County Prosecutor Offering Amnesty Through July For Those Who Failed to Report Child Abuse Cases

From Local Sources

DUBOIS COUNTY -- The Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office is offering amnesty to anyone who previously failed to report child sex abuse.

Officials are using the amnesty program to encourage people to come forward if they know of any case involving kids.

They also want to educate the public on their legal duty.

The amnesty is available to anyone who has previously failed to report, no matter how long ago the abuse occurred.

To get that amnesty, you must report the case before July 31st.

Reporting these cases provides victims an opportunity to receive services and to help prevent further abuse.
