Dubois County EMA Warns of Fire Risk, Perry County Placed Under Burn Ban

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

DUBOIS COUNTY -- The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency is warning residents about the risk of fire in these dry conditions.

EMA Director Tammy Humbert says, even though Dubois County is not under a burn ban, the ground and vegetation is very dry right now.  That increases the risk of fires getting out of control.

If you must burn, be extra cautious and take precautions to keep your fire contained.

Humbert also reminding residents that it’s illegal to burn trash in the state of Indiana.

In Perry County, a burn ban has been put into effect until further notice.
