Dubois County Bands Compete in State Finals in Lucas Oil Stadium

- On Saturday, Jasper, Southridge, and Forest Park were among 40 high school bands vying for top spots across four classes.


The Saturday morning began with the two Scholastic Exhibition Class Champions performing - the Maconaquah Marching Braves and The Pride of Westfield. Afterwards, the crowd turned its attention to live competition in Open Class D.

Southwestern Indiana was well represented in Class D: Forest Park, Southridge, Springs Valley, Orleans, Paoli, Mater Dei, and Tell City.

In the second time slot, at 10:15 a.m., Forest Park performed "A Tremendous Thing". Forest Park earned a 4th place finish, earning back-to-back Top-5 finishes.

An hour later in Class D, Southridge High School took centerstage with their performance of "Another Portrait of Immortal Love". Southridge improved upon their 9th-place 2019 finish, taking 6th.

Next up on the field was the Open Class D. Bands hailing from Southwestern Indiana included Jasper and Evansville North. For their performance entitled "This Bitter Earth", the Jasper Marching Wildcats improved upon their 7th-place 2019 finish, earning the 5th place spot.
