HUNTINGBURG -- The Dubois County Airport Authority is considering building a new terminal at the Huntingburg Airport.

The Herald reports members of the authority got a first look at a proposed design during Monday night’s meeting.

The design is for a 6,000 square-foot building west of the current terminal.

Plans include an updated pilot lounge, reception area, multipurpose rooms and other spaces.

If approved, there would also be a 14,000 square-foot outdoor patio and garden area.  A two-lane road would run south from the parking lot to CR 900 South.

The Airport Authority will get more information about the proposal at a future board meeting.
