Dubois and Some Surrounding Counties Reporting Surge in COVID-19 Cases

AREA WIDE -- Many counties in our area are reporting significant spikes in the number of new COVID-19 cases.

On Monday, the Dubois County Health Department reported 47 new positive cases of COVID-19 since Friday.  That brings the total to 435 positive cases of COVID-19 in the county since the pandemic began.  Of those cases, 270 have recovered; Seven have died.  When you do the math, it comes out to 158 active cases in the county.

Other counties in our area are seeing more cases as well.  Orange County has 149 cases and 24 deaths.

Perry County is reporting 160 cases and 12 deaths.

In Daviess County, 173 people have tested positive; 17 have died.

No one has died in Pike, Martin or Crawford counties.  Pike has 20 cases; Crawford has 37 and 35 have tested positive in Martin County.
