Dubios County Groups to Host Online Solicitation and Grooming Course Next Week

HUNTINGBURG -- Four local non-profit groups are sponsoring an online solicitation and grooming prevention session next week.

According to statistics, more than 500,000 predators are online every day and 89% of all sexual advances toward children take place in chat rooms and instant messaging.

There are two free sessions on Wednesday, September 25th.  One from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and the second from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  They will be held at the Huntingburg Event Center.  Light refreshments will be provided.

It’s being sponsored by the Southwest Indiana Child Advocacy Coalition, Crisis Connection, Dubois County CASA and the Dubois County Community Foundation.

The national presenter is Dr. Darrel Turner from Turner Forensic Psychology.
