District 10 ICU Beds Continue to Fill Up as COVID-Cases Continue to Climb

JASPER -- State officials report just 16% of our district’s ICU beds are currently available.

Locally, District 10 includes Dubois, Daviess, Martin, Pike, Perry, and Spencer Counties.

Nearly 43% of the occupied ICU beds are treating COVID-19 patients.  

Around 76% of our ventilators are free.

State health officials released new county-by-county color codes Wednesday afternoon.

Dubois County remains under a CODE ORANGE designation.  Also under a CODE ORANGE:  Martin, Spencer, Crawford, Perry and Warrick.

Orange, Pike and Daviess counties were placed under a CODE RED designation.

Dubois County also reported 52 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.  It brings our total to 3,066 since the start of the pandemic.

The county reported no new deaths in its latest update.  Crawford and Daviess counties each reported two new deaths.  One resident died in Martin County as of the Wednesday update.
