Crisis Connection to Host Event in Huntingburg to Honor Victims of Domestic Violence

JASPER -- October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Crisis Connection is joining advocates from across the country to honor those impacted by it.
The community is being invited to a Lighting the Way for Peace event on October 10th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Huntingburg City Park.
It will be a time to mourn for those who have been killed by domestic violence, and celebrate the tremendous progress victims have made over the years.
It will also be a time to connect with one another with a sense of unity to end domestic violence.
The CDC reports 1 in for women and 1 in 7 men have been physically assaulted by an intimate partner.
Crisis Connection provides 24-hour advocacy for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
