Crews Respond to Multiple Crashes Wednesday, Some Hospitalized

COUNTY WIDE -- It was  busy day Wednesday for local first responders.

Several accidents were reported in the morning.  Many of them due to slick roads.

A driver hit a concrete barrier when he lost control on the ice covered Maltersville Bridge.

Luckily, that driver wasn’t hurt.

Three people were sent to the hospital a short time later in a crash at the Bretzville Junction.  Police say a driver failed to yield the right-of-way and turned into the other lane of travel causing that crash.

Then, a crash on Old Huntingburg Road sent to a driver to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the driver of a pick up truck lost control, rolling several times before coming to a rest on its top.

The driver was unresponsive at the scene and CPR was administered.

Police add the driver’s condition is uncertain.  His name has not yet been released.

And a dump truck blew a tire and lost control on SR 64 Wednesday afternoon.

That dump truck overturned on the north side of the roadway in a ditch.

64 was shut down for about 30 minutes as the scene was cleared.

The driver was not hurt.
