Crash in Jasper Sends Two to Memorial Hospital Thursday Afternoon

JASPER -- A crash in Jasper sent two people to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 1 p.m. at the intersection of SR 164 and Meridian Road.

Police say Misty Melvin of Loogootee disregarded a traffic control device in that intersection, colliding with a vehicle driven by a Taswell woman.

Melvin and a juvenile passenger were taken to Memorial Hospital complaining of pain.  The other driver wasn’t hurt.

Both vehicles are a total loss.

Melvin was cited for disregarding the traffic control device.
