Children 5-11 Now Eligible for Vaccine Booster at Dubois Co. Health Department

Dubois Co. - Children aged 5-11 are now eligible for a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine following authorization this week from the U.S. FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) is advising vaccine providers that they can begin administering boosters of the Pfizer pediatric vaccine to children in this age group whose last dose was administered at least five months ago. The Pfizer vaccine is the only one currently authorized for children ages 5-11.

The Pediatric Pfizer vaccine for the 5-11 year age group will be given inside the Dubois County Health Department between 8:00am-3:30 pm.

Patients are encouraged to bring their vaccination card to their appointment to ensure the booster dose is added. For any questions, please call 812-481-7056.
