Budget Adjustments Approved by Dubois County Council
The Dubois County Council assembled early on Monday morning to discuss some budgeting
issues before the end of the year.
The Council approved resolution 2024-20 for a transfer of funds from the MVH fund to the
MVH Highway restricted fund for construction, reconstruction, and preservation. A transfer of
appropriations was also approved in the American Rescue Plan funds from revenue loss to
health insurance. All remaining funds are under obligation with the sewer district.
The Council then turned their attention toward salary ordinances that were proposed to
account for adjusted pay scales for some new County staff positions. The first ordinance was
passed to account for the correct pay scale for the two new security officers in the budget for
2025. An additional salary ordinance was also passed for the community corrections
maintenance part-time positions being advertised.
