Brenda Sermersheim Has Been Named Supervisor of the Year by Association of Soil and Water Districts

THE DUBOIS COUNTY FREE PRESS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS REPORT

JASPER -- Brenda Sermersheim has been named Supervisor of the Year by the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Districts.

The Dubois County conservation district supervisor has held her position since 2012.  She’s the first and only woman to ever hold that job, according to the Free Press.

Sermersheim has been instrumental in growing the Dubois County staff to eight members and upgrading part-time positions to full-time positions so the district can better serve the area.

Sermersheim resides on her husband’s family farm in Dubois County and she is active in Farm Bill programs on her own family’s farm in Perry County.
