BREAKING: "No Direct Evidence" Shelter Cats Were Put in Freezer says Prosecutor

By: David Shepherd, Director of News and Public Information

UPDATE: Prosecutor Daniel Wilson says there is "no direct evidence" that cats were put in the freezer. State law bars the shelter from prosecution under current animal torture laws.

Criminal laws will not be filed against the staff or management.

The shelter had been under pressure from members of the community after allegations surfaced that managers instructed employees to freeze cats to death in a freezer as a form of euthanasia.
