Area Man Arrested For Meeting Decoy He Thought Was 13-Year Old Child

PETERSBURG -- A Petersburg man is in jail on child solicitation charges.

Police say 19-year-old Patrick Cox of Winslow made contact online with a police officer pretending to be a 13-year-old.

Investigators say Cox had a sexually explicit conversation with the decoy and made plans to meet.

He was taken into custody when he showed up to meet, who he thought, was the child.
