ALERT: INDOT Announces Pipe Replacement Projects in Martin County

MARTIN COUNTY– The Indiana Department of Transportation announces four pipe replacements scheduled for State Road 550 between Loogootee and Shoals.
Beginning on or around Tuesday, Oct. 2, INDOT maintenance crews will begin excavating and replacing four drainage pipes between the U.S. 150 Junction at Loogootee and the U.S. 150 Junction a few miles south of Shoals in the Lacy community. Each pipe replacement is expected to take one day depending upon weather conditions and will begin at 8 a.m. after all school traffic has cleared. The replacements are as follows:
- 10/2 – At the intersection of U.S. 150 and S.R. 550 in Loogootee near Washington Street. The official detour uses U.S. 50 and U.S. 150 to S.R. 550.
- 10/3 – At the intersection of U.S. 150 and S.R. 550 in Loogootee near Eastgate Avenue. The official detour uses U.S. 50 and U.S. 150 to S.R. 550.
- 10/4 about one mile East of the Intersection of U.S. 150 and S.R. 550. The official detour uses U.S. 50 and U.S. 150 to S.R. 550.
- 10/5 - about a mile west of the east intersection of U.S. 150 and S.R. 550 Near Boyd Hollow Road. The official detour uses U.S. 50 and U.S. 150 to S.R. 550.
