A Slick Start to Your Friday After a Minor Winter Disturbance Overnight

JASPER -- There are slick conditions out there for your Friday morning commute -- mainly on side streets and county roads.

However, there are several slick spots on U.S. 231, mainly south of the courthouse.  I did see road crews on U.S. 231 treating roads near the WITZ Bottoms so those conditions should improve soon.

Near the schools on St. Charles Street in Jasper there were long stretches of snow-dusted roadways near both the middle and high school.  Those will likely get better as more traffic moves through that area.

Take it slow and you should be fine.

Sidewalks and other walkways are quite slick this morning.  Here at WITZ, we got out the ice melt for the first time in 2020 to treat our walkway.

We will bring you any updates if needed on-air throughout the morning and here on our website, witzamfm.com.
