A Fourth Dubois County Resident Dies From Coronavirus, 16 More Test Positive

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

JASPER -- 16 Dubois County residents tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, bringing our total to 227.

"We are working closely with Indiana State Department of Health and local officials to ensure that close contacts of the patients are identified and monitored," local health officials said Sunday.  "Everyone who may have an exposure risk to these positive cases are being notified about potential exposures so that appropriate infection control procedures can be followed."

The positive cases are being told to isolate.

Officials also announced the death of another county resident over the weekend.  They aren’t releasing any details about the patient.  That person is the fourth Dubois County resident to die of the virus so far.

145 residents have recovered.  So far, local health officials have administered around 1,727 COVID-19 tests.
