911 System Running Properly Again Following Friday Night Outage

From Local Sources

DUBOIS COUNTY -- The Dubois County 911 system is working properly today following a widespread outage Friday night.

911 centers across the state also reported issues with emergency calls from cell phones.

Dispatchers still took emergency calls, but you had to dial a 10-digit number instead of simply calling 911.

In Randolph County, dispatchers attributed the problem as a “Critical database Corruption.”  This affected call routing services there.

No word at this hour on what caused the local outages, but it is safe to assume they are all connected.
