20-year-Old Threatens Unborn Child

Jasper- Jasper Police Officers arrested 20-year-old Kevin Cruz.

Officials say they were alerted of threatening comments made by Cruz after a pregnant teen reported them. The teen states that Cruz, who is her ex-boyfriend, called her and her fiancé on a video call. During that call, Cruz allegedly told both the teen and her fiancé “I am going to kill your baby!” and told the fiancé and child’s father “If I see you, I’m going to beat you up!”

Cruz was taken from Ferdinand and brought to JPD for an interview. He admitted to officers he did in fact make both statements. Officers arrested Cruz on two felony counts of Intimidation.
