18% of Dubois County Voters Cast Ballots in Tuesday's Primary

COUNTY WIDE -- Dubois County is reporting just over 18% voter turnout in Tuesday’s Primary Election.

2,780 county voters cast their ballots in person.  1,765 voted absentee and 883 residents took advantage of in-person early voting.

In all, 5,428 of the county’s nearly 30,000 registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s Primary.

Three democrats running for County Council will be advancing to November’s General Election.

Matt Brosmer brought in 31% of the vote.  Mikayla Granados and Mike Kendall both brought in over 23%.  They’ll be on the ticket come this fall.

Duncan Mathies wasn’t far behind the pack with over 21% of the county’s total votes.

In the race for U.S. House out of the 8th District, democrat Thomasina Marsili beat out the other two democratic challengers who were vying to unseat incumbent republican Larry Bucshon in November.

While we already knew who would be running for president this Fall, Tuesday’s Primary gave us an idea of how the county may vote.

President Trump received a total of 2,487 votes in Dubois County Tuesday.  Former Vice President Joe Biden was not far behind receiving a total of 2,066 local votes.
