A Game of Their Own: Peaches vs. Belles to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of 'A League of Their Own'

Huntingburg - This Saturday at League Stadium in Huntingburg, the Rockford Peaches will get a game of their own.


Ahead of the Dubois County Bombers and Muhlenburg County Stallions match-up in Ohio Valley League Play, the 'Rockford' Peaches are set to host the 'Racine' Belles in a rematch of the famous game in 'A League of Their Own'.

The Peaches and Belles will take the field for a shortened game at 5:15 p.m. Gates will open earlier than usual on Saturday, scheduled for 4:45 p.m.

This years Peaches: Joyce, Madie, Haley, Shania, Emily, Lauren, Lindsey, Cami, Liz, Emma, Miranda, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Sabrina, and Louisa.

'A League of Their Own', starring Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, and Madonna, premiered in 1992.

Huntingburg's historic League Stadium served as the home of the Rockford Peaches.


Afterwards, the Dubois County Bombers (3-3) host the Muhlenburg County Stallions (2-2) in a North Division meeting.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 11th.
