New Display at the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame

Local Sources - The Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame has a new display of baseball history from the 1800’s to early 2000’s.

It is a library of 14 yearbooks from Baseball Research Journal and 15 from the National Pastime Yearbook dating from 1983 to 2001. These are published annually by SABR (Society for American Baseball Research) and each contain from 70-100 pages of individual articles written by baseball researchers some dating back to the 1800’s.

Pictures accompany most of the articles with bios of players and information regarding the picture.

These are available to take from the hall of fame, at no cost, to read and enjoy and return when finished reading. There will be a card, similar to a library system, with each yearbook asking for name, phone and date yearbook is taken which will remain at the hall of fame. When finished simply return to hall and take another yearbook. The year that each yearbook was published is noted on the cover.

The rack of the magazines is located at the entrance to the hall of fame and one does not have to pay to check out the yearbooks. The Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame is located on the Vincennes University Jasper Campus.
