Former Evansville Central Boys basketball coach Scott Hudson has been named the new Girls basketball coach at Wapahani. Evansville Central AD Mike Powluss has  resigned because of health reasons. The 59 year old Powluss replaced Andy Owen last season when Owen became EVSC AD.

University of Southern Indiana Softball head Coach Sue Kunkle and Asst Coaches former NE Dubois standout MacKenzi Dorsam and Lexi Reese have collectively been named the Midwest region Coaching staff of the year by the national Fastpitch Coaches association. This is the second straight year they have won the award. USI 41-23 won the Division 2 National Championship this year
