GLASS GLUE (homemade) 08/07/08
2 packets (1/2-ounce) unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons cold water
3 tablespoons skim milk
several drops of oil of cloves (to preserve)
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water. Set aside to soften.
Heat milk to boiling point and pour over softened gelatin. Stir until dissolved.
Add oil of cloves as a preservative. Omit it you don't plan to save the glue.
Great paste for canning jar labels and small projects, like gluing marbles onto jars, etc. |
