The Jasper Police Department is investigating the theft of catalytic converters from parked vehicles in the area. A JPD report from the Twitter account says that sometime over last weekend, the converters were cut off of trucks at Audio World on Sixth Street in Jasper and Hedinger Beverage on St. Charles Street. Jasper — Last Friday, police served an arrest warrant for 35 year old Dayvi Aleman-Cortez of Circle Pine Drive, Jasper, on charges of sexual battery of a teenage girl. The Dubois County Circuit Court issued the warrant for Aleman-Cortez’s arrest based on an investigation into allegations he inappropriately touched a teenage girl.
