Wood Memorial Football Coach Resigns

East Gibson school board members accepted the resignation of Caleb Cherry, the Wood Memorial High School football coach. He was not in attendance at the Monday night meeting. Last week, the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office filed juvenile delinquency petitions against four members of the team. The investigation is still underway.

RIAL Anniversary Service Set for Sunday, November 20th

Walmart Shoplifting Lead to Arrests

Three Indiana women were booked into the Dubois County Security Center after attempting to shoplift items from Walmart valued at $403.82. Evelyn Turner, 28, Oakland City; Suzanne Brucken, 35, Winslow; and Amanda Powell, 27, Winslow were detained by Walmart employees until the Jasper Police Department arrived on the scene. Jasper Police Request Public Assistance

Jasper Police are requesting public assistance in locating a vehicle that struck a 2012 Chevy Traverse on Clay Street near Fifth Street on Wednesday morning.
