Pike County Accidental Shooting Ends in Fatality

A 9-1-1 call came in to Pike County Dispatch Monday around 12:18 am from a residence near the Glezen area. The caller reports that a male subject was shot in the face while cleaning his firearm. Pike County EMS and first responders found 18 year old Damon Robinson with a gunshot wound to the face.  MORE >

Jasper Police Looking for Missing Juvenile

The Jasper Police Department has issued an alert on a missing teen.  16 year old Ashley Schloesser was last seen Monday (3/18) evening at 8:30 leaving the north side Jasper McDonalds.  She was seen getting into a silver Ford Focus with a male subject and is possibly in the company of Nicholas Rothrock of Winslow. Democrat State Senator Lindel Hume of Princeton has announced he will not seek re-election to the District 48 seat.  Hume called Democrat chairs across the district last week and then made the announcement official at the Pike County Democrat St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Saturday night. 19 year old Nathaneil Schuetz of Loogootee was killed in a single vehicle crash Saturday night just past 7:30 on CR 650 South, about ½ a mile east of CR 1300. Ireland Parade Rained Out
