Witnesses Sought in December Accident

Dubois County Sheriff Deputy Clint Gogel has issued a request for witnesses of a December 17th accident that killed two passengers in a SUV to come forward and provide assistance on what happened that day.

Gogel says that he needs anybody who witnessed the accident or observed the vehicle prior to the accident to contact Deputy Jesus Monarrez at the Sheriff’s Department at 482-3522.

In the accident 20 year old Carlisha Dooley of Ferdinand was driving eastbound on SR 64 just east of the Bretzville junction at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle and it struck a guardrail and went off of the south side of the road, where it rolled over before striking a tree.

28 year old Eric Bureau and 20 year old Jessica Morgan were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Dubois County Coroner’s Office.

Dooley, of Ferdinand was arrested Monday, December 23rd on a warrant issued from the Dubois County Superior Court charging her with two counts of operating while intoxicated causing a death and two counts of reckless homicide, both Class C felonies, and one count of driving while suspended (infraction).

Dooley appeared in Dubois County Superior Court on December 26 where here bond was set at $75,000.

Again, anybody who witnessed the accident or observed the vehicle prior to the accident is asked to contact Deputy Jesus Monarrez at the Sheriff’s Department at 482-3522.
