SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT: Until 10 p..m Sun.

LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS AND GUSTY WINDS THIS EVENING… A BAND OF LIGHT SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND SOUTHERN INDIANA THIS EVENING.

TEMPERATURES ARE STARTING TO DROP OUT AHEAD OF THE SNOW BAND AND WILL CONTINUE TO STEADILY FALL THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. SNOW HAS ALREADY MOVED INTO SOUTHERN INDIANA, AND A VISIBILITY OF A HALF MILE WAS REPORTED AT HUNTINGBURG REGIONAL AIRPORT.

LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM A DUSTING TO HALF AN INCH ARE EXPECTED, WITH THE HIGHER TOTALS ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA AND NORTHERN KENTUCKY. THE SNOW MAY QUICKLY COAT ROAD SURFACES, RESULTING IN SLICK TRAVEL CONDITIONS THIS EVENING.

SECONDARY ROADS MAY REMAIN QUITE HAZARDOUS OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING, WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING INTO THE TEENS MONDAY MORNING. IN ADDITION, WINDS GUSTING TO 30 MPH WILL RESULT IN LOW VISIBILITY IN SNOW. ANYONE HEADED OUT THIS EVENING SHOULD TAKE IT SLOW.

THE COLDEST WIND CHILLS MONDAY MORNING ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM THE UPPER SINGLE DIGITS TO TEENS.
