The Dubois County Humane Society has decided to extend the “Name Your Own Feline Adoption Fee” program. The program was originally supposed to end at the end of June. The time you have to name your own fee to adopt a cat has been extended through the end of July.
There are a lot of cats and kittens at the Dubois County Humane Society who need homes. If you’re interested in getting a cat from the Humane Society, now is a really good time to do it! You can choose the cost of the adoption fee…there are some rules though. The amount has to be at least $20. And you still have to follow the Dubois County Humane Society’s adoption procedures that have been set in place.
Each cat or kitten that you adopt from the Dubois County Humane Society receives FIV testing, a microchip, vaccinations (including rabies if the cat is old enough), spay/neuter (or a certificate for a free spay/neuter if the cat is too young) and also a goodie bag.
You can visit the Dubois County Humane Society’s Pet Adoption Center at 426 Wernsing Road in Jasper. Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The phone number is 482-7387.
