Water Main Break on 16th Street

JASPER — Jasper residents along EAST 15th Street remain under a boil order following a water main break.

Now,reports of another break Monday.  This one on 16th Street.

This comes just days after the break on 15th Street that forced the boil advisory.

A spokesperson for Jasper Gas and Water told me a few minutes ago they were able to clamp yesterday’s break so no NEW boil advisories are up.

The 15th Street advisory is in effect until further notice.

 

Four Week Bridge Project to Close Santine Road

DUBOIS COUNTY — Officials have announce Santine Road will close for about a month as crews do bridge deck replacement.

The closure will be approximately a HALF MILE SOUTH of Schnelleville Road – and will begin this Thursday.

That section of road will be closed for about 4 weeks, depending on weather.

 

Huntingburg Man Arrested After Injuring Infant

JASPER — Jasper Police have arrested a Huntingburg man, charging him with injuring an infant during a domestic dispute over the weekend.

It happened Saturday night at a home in the 1400 Block of Franklin Street.

Police say 32-year-old Joshua Mattingly of Huntingburg smashed a car window during that dispute.

The infant sustained injury from flying shattered glass.

Mattingly sustained a laceration to his forearm.

He’s charged with felony neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury and misdemeanor criminal recklessness.

 

Washington Woman Arrested on Prostitution Charges

WASHINGTON — A Washington woman has been arrested on prostitution charges.

The Washington – Times Herald reports 32-year-old Kathleen Williams was arrested as part of an on-going rape investigation at the Sunset Towers on Second Street.

Police do not believe the case goes beyond the single arrest but the investigation remains open.

Williams is charged with two counts of prostitution and one count of false informing.

She’s currently held without bond.

 

More Medical Development in Warrick Co.

WARRICK CO. — New plans have been unveiled for a development around Saint Vincent’s new Orthopedic Hospital.

Work has already begun on a neighboring plastic surgery center.

There are also plans for a new doctors office in the complex.

The plastic surgery center could be done by the end of the year.

The Orthopedic Hospital will open in 2019.
