Jasper Police Investigate Daytime Burglary

Jasper residents are asked to keep an eye out for suspicious activities in their neighborhoods after a daytime burglary took place Tuesday around 12:25 pm on Dewey Street on Jasper’s east side.

A Jasper Police report says that during the Noon hour Tuesday, two male subjects broke into a residence in the 1400 block of Dewey Street and stole a 40 inch flat screen TV, electronic equipment, several play station games along with an undetermined amount of change.

The suspects entered the rear of the residence after parking in the alley way behind the house.

A neighbor called police as the burglary was taking place, but police were unable to catch up with the vehicle, described as an older four door passenger car – possibly a Toyota Camry, green in color.

Jasper Police Department says that if you know any information regarding the burglary, you can call them at 482-2255, or the anonymous Tip Line at 481-COPS, where you can leave messages without giving your name.
