Jasper Police investigated a hit and run accident Saturday at 7:00 pm in the parking lot of the Jasper 8 theatres, where officers say that the driver of a vehicle that struck a parked car has now come forward.
Officers said that a blue minivan was witnessed striking another vehicle in the parking lot – taking off after the accident.
Officers with Jasper Police Department have arrested 28 year old Clinton Uppencamp of Winslow after he was found in a parked pickup truck in the 3800 block of Newton Street.
He was found to have inhaled toxic vapors from a can of computer “duster” and was taken to Memorial Hospital for medical clearance, then was charged with a Class B Misdemeanor for Inhaling Toxic Vapors and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
Another hit and run accident was investigated Friday by officers with Jasper Police Department where a 2007 Pontiac G6, owned by Angela Hildenbrand of Jasper was parked on the south side of 7th Street near the Post Office when it was discovered that it had been struck by another vehicle between the hours of 9:45 am and 6 pm Friday.
