Heritage Hills Grad Chosen as Purdue Homecoming Queen

Purdue University student Alyssa Begle, a 2012 Heritage Hills High School graduate was crowned Purdue Homecoming queen during the Homecoming celebration Saturday on the main stage in Stadium Mall.

Alyssa appeared at Homecoming festivities Saturday, including the football game’s halftime celebration.

Begle is a senior studying speech language and hearing sciences in the College of Health and Human Sciences.

Alyssa is the daughter of Ronnie and Kathy Begle of Ferdinand. Their address is Ferdinand, but their farm along the south side of I-64 is in the North Spencer School Corporation.

Kathy spoke with WITZ News this morning and told us that Alyssa was the class valedictorian and played tennis at Heritage Hills.

Alyssa is a senior at Purdue and has plans to get her masters in Speech and Language after she graduates in May.

She was chosen by online student voting and formal interviews by a judging panel composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders.
