When someone is very good at something, it gets a lot of attention and demand for it grows exponentially.
That’s what has happened with Forest Park Band Director Chad Gayso.
Gayso is a prolific writer and arranger of marching band music and his work is in high demand.
In an interview with Gayso this morning he talked to us about what his thoughts were on the Marching Rangers performance in the Open Class D competition over the weekend at Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium in Jasper:
The Forest Park Band program is entitled “PowerHouse” and uses a lot of sound effects during the show.
Gayso says that as good as the performance was, there’s still more to come:
Gayso wrote 75 percent of the show and the remaining was music that he arranged to go into the show. He also arranged and composed Jasper’s show again this year with the final piece in the show written by him.
He also does writing and arranging for other bands, too:
Gayso’s Marching Rangers will be at Evansville Central this Saturday for Regional Competition – which counts towards going to the ISSMA State Band Finals at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 2nd.
