The Jasper Police Department and the Dubois County Dispatch reminds citizens that the emergency sirens will sound throughout the county on Friday at 4 pm.
This monthly test of the system also includes the cable TV interrupter for Jasper and Huntingburg.
The Dispatch Center will set off the county-wide emergency siren system in full emergency mode for this test as requested by the Dubois County Commissioners.
The sirens were at the center of controversy when they did not sound on January 30th during a tornado warning for the southwest corner of Dubois County during the 2 am hour.
Only severe weather in the area could postpone this test.
